Planet Earth Not At Burning Man 2024

Hello Planet Earth!

We have some tough news to share. Unfortunately, Planet Earth won't be at Burning Man 2024 after all. We are short on too many fronts, in too many areas for things to be possible.

Here's why:

• Fewer volunteers: We need a strong crew to set up camp, and this year we just don't have enough reliable helpers.
• Missing key leaders: Some key organizers can't make it this year, and finding replacements would put too much strain on others.
• Lower attendance: We haven't seen the usual level of interest from potential campmates.
• Easier ticket access: With tickets easier to get, recruiting new members has been tougher.

We explored smaller camp options, but with limited manpower, it simply wouldn't be feasible. Merging with another camp or moving locations wasn't the right fit either.

In the end, camp leads agreed this wouldn't be the Burning Man experience we want to create. We are disappointed as we imagine all of you are too.

Finding a New Camp: Not sure about where to camp? Reach out to us, your friends, or fellow campers for recommendations. We have a number of camps that are looking for good people. We are happy to recommend all our EA and early registration crew.

Farewell Event: After the dust settles from this year's burn, we'll host a farewell event to say goodbye to Planet Earth and celebrate all the amazing people involved.
